Gratitude before me, gratitude behind
me, gratitude to the left of me, Oh, these beautiful and powerful words from Karen Drucker At the time that I am writing this letter for the Wings Newsletter, we are right in the middle of preparation for our annual "indoor yard sale". Things are buzzing outside my office. We have had so many people every day helping to carry things in, sort, price, cook, organize, etc. I am in such gratitude for every person who is involved with this Ministry. My heart overflows with such appreciation because I know that without all of you, we couldn’t do this!So it is with deep sincerity that I say "Thank YOU!" Everywhere I look I see evidence of someone’s great Love for Christ Church Unity. I see it in the clean pews on Sunday morning. I see it in the beautiful meditation garden. I see it in the newly stained handicap ramps and the newly refurbished kitchen. I see it in the freshly mowed lawn and the weeded areas around the church campus. I see it as visitors are lovingly greeted on Sunday mornings, Wednesday evenings and during the week. I see it on Friendship Sunday with wonderful music and yummy goodies. I see it via our website and this Newsletter. I see it in birthday cards sent and visits to those in the hospital or homebound. I see it through the joy of our Prayer Chaplains praying with others, of our Licensed Unity Teachers (and others on that path) joyfully sharing Unity Principles. I see it as I sit at Board meetings or Long Range Planning meetings or Team Leader meetings or Publicity/Marketing meetings or Prayer Chaplain meetings.I see it in the bookstore and the lending library. I see it at events such as the indoor yard sale or the annual picnic or the Fall Fest. I see it in our amazing staff. I hear it via our volunteer and amazing band and soloists on Sundays and Wednesdays. I see it in those holding our Ministry in prayerful consciousness. I see it in the loving financial support given. And so much more! I also see it in all of those who have loved this Ministry for years and years. We are SO blessed! I am so grateful. If you see someone who is doing something around the church, will you please take a moment and say "Thank You"? Gratitude expands, as appreciation appreciates! Christ Church Unity rocks! In Joy, Sue ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ As we are growing and expanding, not only in numbers, but in activities, we are doing our very best to keep the lines of communication open. It is so important to be lovingly communicating in every relationship. We are excited to begin our first 5-week breakout series in September based on Rev. Gary Simmons’ book, This is a great book about embracing conflict and creating peace. We will culminate this series in October with Gary Simmons and Rima Bonario bringing their workshop here to CCU. We are so excited about this and know that this series will be beneficial for everyone of us in all relationships in our lives. Are you ready to live, really live, with the awareness that no one and nothing is against you? Are you ready to be able to communicate openly and honestly with everyone? The workshop will be offered for $99.00 per person. The reason I am sharing this so far ahead of time is so that we can be putting a few dollars a week aside. We would love to have the whole congregation attend this powerful workshop so we can all be on the same page as we grow together in open, honest, loving and clear communication. In the meantime, enjoy your summer. Delight in the beauty of this glorious earth. Send wonderful praises and thanksgiving forth and dance in celebration with the nature of the ever present Life Force. All is well. With great joy and love, Sue |
