Board President's Message

Hi everyone,
I first want to let you all know that I feel totally honored that I get to be President of a Board of such a wonderful place. I want to make sure that everyone knows that the Board is here for you, and if there is an idea or issue that you have, please feel free to contact me or anyone of the Board members.

I want to say a special thank you to Pamela Brennaman, past President for all the time and effort she put in over the past year. I will truly have some big shoes to fill! She is now filling the position of Vice President, with Teddy Heaton as the Treasurer and Doug Henry as Secretary to fill out the Executive Committee.

This continues to be a busy time for CCU. All you have to do is look around. The meditation garden and the kitchen look fabulous, we have new chairs in Fellowship Hall, motion censored lights in the front restrooms, the hall walls are painted and there is a fence around the heating and air unit. We had a really relaxing Spa Day and the garage sale was a huge success. The clean-up this year took only 2hrs! Thank you! Thank-you! This takes the effort of some very special people called volunteers. You are all greatly appreciated for making CCU even more special. I encourage all of you to try volunteering at least once. There are many different things that we need volunteers for. Put as little or as much time in that fits you and your schedule. Christ Church Unity is a special place because of the warmth and welcoming feeling that the members give it. Volunteering makes the church and the church family feel even closer to you.

The Board too has been busy. We are looking into the security of the church; from keys on loan to background checks. We are reviewing the by-laws since they have not been updated in 10yrs. Also, an accountant is reviewing our books to make sure they work to the best of our needs, and we are reviewing church logos.
